Who am I kidding? This message is for me. I’m the person standing still, waiting on other people to move. The line is growing longer pushing me further behind. My problem is I don’t know how to NOT give a fuck! But, oh am I learning…
This time around, I’m moving when the line moves—no more holding space for temporary placeholders (PEOPLE). It’s always the one(s) you never would have thought to hurt you that, in fact, hurts you.
While I was busy saving space for them, they skipped the line without considering whom they left behind…Shame on me.
Today, I make a promise to myself to keep moving forward, without looking behind.
